A place to gather, listen deeply, and support culture that matters. In five years, we see The Rehearsal with its own venue, inspiring a movement of intentional shows and reshaping how we experience live music.

The Rehearsal is a no-BS music showcase where real artists shine. No pay-to-play (aka charging artists just to get on stage). We handpick every act, create a vibe with no distractions, and give artists the tools to grow—onstage and beyond. It’s music first, always. Let’s build, let’s grow, let’s keep it real. REAL MUSIC. ABOUT US

What began as a conversation in 2023 between Yesi Ortiz, David Tam, and Damon Turner quickly turned into something real. That same year, The Rehearsal took shape, with the founding team growing to include Shani Bernard, Levi Downey, and Jenn John co-founders committed to creating a space where artists could grow, experiment, and be seen.

Together, we worked tirelessly to build an environment rooted in development, intention, and community. As the project evolved, so did the team. In 2024, Damon and Jenn stepped away to pursue other creative endeavors. While they’re no longer involved in the day-to-day or decision-making, their role as co-founders remains an important part of our story.

In 2025, the remaining core—Yesi, Levi, David, and Shani—formally established Core 4 Productions, LLC, continuing The Rehearsal’s mission with a fresh vision, stronger than ever. We’re still here to nurture the culture, build community, and uplift the next generation of artists—one show at a time.
